  1. I bought this product because I live in a home with solid masonry walls which make running wires from room to room very difficult and expensive. This products uses WiFi, specifically 802.11n. Advertised range is 40 meters – 130 feet. The device is supposed to transmit resolutions up to 1080p, 24/30/60 fps.

The boxes are small and lightweight and easy to place. The lights on the fronts are a bit bright in a dark room.

Included is a IR Flasher – that allows control over devices in the room where the transmitter is located – a small remote and a pc to video converter. The unit also allows the choice of two WiFi channels to help avoid interference. Software can be upgraded through a USB port.

The distance I am covering with this product is approximately 39 feet – 10 meters. In addition to the masonry walls, there are two solid wood doors between the transmitter and receiver. I wanted to transmit satellite signals to two HD TVs, one in the same room as the satellite receiver, the second in a bedroom. I feared that no product would work in my home.

Setup is easy. I am using HDMI connections – composite and pc connectors are also available. It takes about 90 seconds for the transmitter and receiver to connect. The receiver’s built-in antennas are a little touchy. I had to move the receiver around a bit to get a strong clear picture on the distant TV. Once I got that right, touching the receiver or walking in the signal path sometimes causes the picture to breakup briefly.

However my remote TV is receiving a strong 1080p signal and the picture is indistinguishable from the TV alongside my satellite receiver.

All in all the product works as advertised and produces a fine quality picture in a pretty difficult environment. I have no trouble recommending it.
